Peer Review Policy
Innovations in Pedagogy and Technology (IPT) operates a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and impartiality of published research.
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their relevance to the journal's aims and scope, academic quality, originality, and compliance with publication requirements.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are normally evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers are selected based on their academic qualifications, research expertise, and absence of competing interests.
Reviewers are asked to assess manuscripts based on the following criteria:
- Originality and significance of the research;
- Relevance to the journal's aims and scope;
- Soundness of the research design and methodology;
- Accuracy and reliability of the analysis and findings;
- Engagement with relevant literature;
- Clarity of presentation and academic contribution.
Based on the reviewers' reports and the editor's assessment, a manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:
- Accept;
- Minor Revision;
- Major Revision;
- Reject.
The Editor-in-Chief or an authorized handling editor makes the final editorial decision. Editorial decisions are based on academic merit and are not influenced by the authors' nationality, institutional affiliation, gender, or financial circumstances.
The journal aims to complete the initial editorial screening within a reasonable period and normally seeks to complete external peer review within two to four weeks, although actual timelines may vary depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity.
All participants in the peer review process are required to maintain confidentiality. Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts of interest and decline assignments where impartiality may be compromised.
The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts at any stage if serious ethical, methodological, or publication-related concerns are identified.
