This study analyzes the impact of the research produced by the Systems Engineering program on technological, social, productive, and territorial development. Using a qualitative-quantitative, descriptive, analytical, and interpretative approach, the research systematizes the program's scientific output and examines its alignment with national, regional, and global public policy frameworks, including the Colombian National Development Plan, the Antioquia and Medellín Development Plans, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The findings reveal that the program's research is primarily focused on strategic areas such as artificial intelligence, Big Data, software development, digital transformation, information and communication technologies (ICT), entrepreneurship, blockchain, fintech, and digital inclusion. These research areas contribute to strengthening technological innovation, organizational competitiveness, digital education, knowledge transfer, and evidence-based decision-making while addressing societal challenges related to inclusion, sustainability, and regional development. Furthermore, the study highlights the relevance of the program's research in supporting innovation ecosystems and fostering collaboration between academia, industry, government, and society. Finally, it recommends strengthening research impact assessment through systematic monitoring of knowledge transfer, stakeholder engagement, applied projects, and the social appropriation of scientific knowledge to maximize the contribution of research to sustainable territorial development.
